We are looking for a motivated and technically curious AV Provisioning Technician to support the setup, configuration, and documentation of modern audio-visual and collaboration systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT and AV technologies, good working knowledge of PC hardware, and a desire to grow their skills within a fast-moving technology environment.

This position will be primarily based in-house from our Dunstable site, with occasional work on customer premises when required.

 

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Programming & Commissioning Manager, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • System Provisioning & Setup: Provision and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, and similar UC room systems. Configuration of peripheral devices such as cameras, microphones, soundbars, room controllers and displays.
  • Network & Device Configuration: Apply network configuration such as IP addressing, device naming, configuration loading and firmware updates.
  • Documentation & Records Management: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, IP and MAC addresses, commissioning procedures, etc to support system programming, operation and maintenance.
  • Testing & Verification: Carry out structured testing to validate device functionality, verify network and system connectivity, and confirm consistent audio and video performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including installation, programming & commissioning, design and project management to assist with a smooth transition. Support customer interactions where required, helping with queries to system setup and use.


The following are essential for the role:

  • Good working knowledge of PC hardware and general IT principles.
  • Strong interest in AV technologies, collaboration systems, and IT networking.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, etc.)—formal networking qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn AV/IT standards, room system provisioning, and AV-over-IP basics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a logical, methodical approach.
  • Good attention to detail and an organised working style.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence for occasional site visits.
