Pure AV is looking for an ambitious and organised Service Development Lead to join our growing team in Preston. This is a newly created role that will play an important part in supporting the growth and development of our service offering.

Reporting into the Service Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving service opportunities, supporting contract renewals, managing service tenders and proposals, conducting customer service reviews, and helping to grow our recurring service revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert for service-related opportunities within the sales process in identifying and positioning service business opportunities. Provide commercial and operational guidance during customer negotiations and presentations to improve service attachment rates, boost service revenue and increase lifetime customer value.
  • Support contract renewal discussions and conduct service review meetings to identify opportunities for contract extension, service enhancement, and additional revenue generation, in order to protect existing recurring revenue and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of service tenders, framework applications, and competitive bid responses, to ensure submissions accurately reflect organisational capability whilst maximising commercial opportunity and securing long-term revenue streams.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and customer requirements to identify new service opportunities, recommend enhancements to existing service products and contribute to the development of innovative service solutions, in order to feed into future business direction and market competitiveness.
  • Develop service proposals, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that align customer requirements with operational capabilities. Establish pricing models and commercial structures that deliver target margins and competitive positioning to ensure contract profitability and increase long-term customer value.
     

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Comprehensive understanding of service contract structure, maintenance agreements, managed services delivery models.
  • Strong understanding of customer service management principles and service performance metrics, contract review processes and commercial risk assessment.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial bidding, tendering processes, and contract negotiation.
  • Knowledge of the Audio Visual, Unified Communications, or technology services sector. Skills

  • Commercial awareness with a keen eye for financial and commercial analysis
  • Ability to place operational specifics in context against broader commercial strategy
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with good relationship building and commercial influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a willingness to support commercial activity such as bid and proposal writing, presentations and customer negotiation.
  • Confident in the use of CRM and service pipeline management Experience
  • Experience working within technology, AV, managed service, facilities management, or related service environments.
  • Experience preparing complex commercial proposals and supporting tender submissions.
  • Demonstrable track record of supporting service revenue growth and securing new contracts.
  • Experience in business development, service sales, bid management, or commercial role would be an advantage.
