It was a pleasure to work with Pure AV on our project. We have ended up with a fantastic space for our colleagues to use, and the project was delivered on time and to budget. - Ian Cresswell, Director of Technology, Magenta Living

Established in 2005, Magenta Living is the Wirral's largest social housing provider. The organisation focusses on the regeneration of communities and empowerment of residents through the provision of affordable homes and independent living support.
During a period of significant organisational growth, Magenta Living made the strategic decision to modernise its head office technology.
Prior to the upgrade, the AV setup at Magenta Living caused frequent issues - sound quality in such a large space was poor, it was difficult to reconfigure the space for larger meetings, and equipment needed to be commissioned and de-commissioned regularly - resulting in business disruption and additional cost.
The new solution needed to eliminate these challenges along with creating a flexible, divisible space to support in-person and remote meetings, presentations, and company-wide Town Halls, while also functioning as independent spaces when required.
During our initial engagement with Magenta Living, it was essential for our team to start with a detailed fact-finding exercise and site visit to fully understand the client's objectives and existing challenges.
Following the completion of these discussions, our team began developing a tailored solution aligned to the client's requirements and vision.
The main principles of the proposed system centred on a fixed installation to remove the need for repeated commissioning/de-commissioning, minimal visible cabling for a clean aesthetic, alongside custom-programmed room control to manage the technology from anywhere in the building.
At the front of the space, a 98-inch Sony display, fixed securely to a floor-to-ceiling Unicol mounting system replaces an ageing projector screen to provide a significant upgrade in visual performance. When the room is operating in ‘Open Mode’, this display serves as the primary focal point within the space, ensuring all participants positioned toward the front of the room can clearly view content at all times.
To further enhance the space, a series of smaller displays have been introduced, mounted on B-tech trolley solutions to function as both repeater screens and confidence monitors as appropriate. Each display can be easily repositioned to align with the room’s chosen configuration, ensuring optimal visibility and flexibility across a range of use cases.
Extron ceiling speakers and a Shure ceiling microphone provide a discreet, high-performance solution for all audio across meetings. Complete with integrated DSP and Dante networked audio capabilities, the microphone system benefits from AI-driven echo cancellation, noise reduction, automatic mixing, and configurable coverage zones to ensure precise and consistent pickup.
For in-room presentations and discussions, handheld microphones are easily distributed between participants, ensuring everyone is clearly heard throughout the space.
To deliver high-quality video capture across all meeting scenarios, a number of AVer PTZ cameras have been strategically positioned throughout the space to support both unified and divided room configurations.
Each camera is; Microsoft Teams-certified, securely mounted using dedicated AVer mounting solutions, fed into a retained Logitech Tap and NUC system to deliver the complete Microsoft Teams Room experience.
As a recognised enterprise-grade manufacturer, AVer integrates seamlessly with a wide range of other leading technologies, enabling consistent performance across virtual meetings.
A bespoke graphical user interface (GUI), designed and developed by the Pure AV programming team, has been implemented to provide technicians with intuitive control of the space.
Utilising Extron Control for iOS in conjunction with iPort Connect, the device sits on a wall-mounted dock, ensuring the device remains fully charged when not in use. The device can also be easily removed, allowing for seamless operation and full system control from anywhere within the building. All other hardware related to this is located within an out-of-sight, newly provided Middle Atlantic AV rack.
A Dante-enabled Auri™ 2 Channel Transmitter is fully integrated into the wider AV ecosystem to deliver a professional assistive listening solution and support any users with additional accessibility requirements.
Users benefit from the flexibility of choosing between dedicated Auri™ receivers and headphones or their own personal Android devices, creating a more inclusive and convenient listening experience while reducing reliance on shared hardware.
By incorporating these advanced technologies, Magenta Living reinforces its commitment to inclusivity and ensures all participants can actively engage during meetings and presentations.
