Success at AV News Awards

06 Feb

Pure AV is delighted to announce that our audiovisual installation project for the University of Leeds has received the prestigious Education Project of the Year accolade at the AV News Awards.

The AV News Awards hold a special place within Europe’s audiovisual industry, being focused on the people and community that makes the business work. The Best Project category recognises innovation, sustainability, efficiency and effectiveness in the design and deployment of audiovisual solutions.

The Education Project of the Year Award category was hotly contested this year and Pure AV were honoured to received the accolade for the work undertaken at the Collaborative Lecture Theatres at the University of Leeds in front of industry peers in Amsterdam this morning. The project takes traditional lecture theatre layout and replaces traditional seating with new style collaborative booths. Each booth is embedded with digital technology to facilitate improved group working and accommodate a ‘flipped’ learning approach to large group teaching.

This is the second time in three years that Pure AV have won this particular award, having walked away with the title in 2016 for our work at the Learning Lab at Liverpool Hope University. It also marks a hat-trick of AV News awards as we also picked up the prize for AV Marketing Development Initiative of the Year with our Laser Showcase at last years' event.
