COVID-19 - Pure AV Company Statement

We are continually reviewing the processes we have in place to manage the impact of COVID-19 and ensure a safe working environment for our staff.

Following the move into a national lockdown on the 5th November, we have updated our risk assessments and guidance to employees and once again closed visitor access to our facilities in Preston and Halifax.

Our on-site teams will continue to provide installation services at client sites as long as Government guidance allows. Staff working on client sites will follow enhanced health and safety practice in line with updated Risk and Method Statements and any site-specific guidance issued by our clients.

We continue to prioritise home working for those who can work from home and have introduced additional measures, in line with government guidance, to protect the safety and well-being of those who need to attend the office.

As part of the ongoing management of the coronavirus risk we have:

  • Completed a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with our employees
  • Issued clear guidance on individual responsibilities 
  • Established cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
  • Taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
  • Taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace
  • Where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.

While we continue to work differently, our service levels remain mostly unaffected, and our teams continue to be available to respond to your audio visual service needs.

As the Government continues to ease lockdown measures in relation to COVID-19, we have updated our risk assessments and made preparations for a gradual increase in the use of our office facilities. 

We continue to prioritise home working for those who can work from home and have introduced additional measures, in line with government guidance, to protect the safety and well-being of those who need to attend the office.

  • Completed a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with our employees

April 2020 

Pure AV continues to monitor the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) developments with a primary focus on ensuring the health and safety of our colleagues while mitigating business impacts for our customers.

In service to these priorities and in-light of updated Government information, we have updated our activity and guidance to employees.

Further to the measures already implemented in response to COVID-19, as of the 1stApril, we will be operating with reduced staffing levels.

We will maintain a level of cover to ensure that we can meet the demands of those clients who are continuing their operations at this time and in particular our clients within the public service and healthcare sectors.

We hope to minimise any disruption to your service and apologise for any inconvenience caused. We appreciate your understanding during these unprecedented times and look forward to returning to full capacity, once the restrictions relating to COVID-19 are lifted.

As of the 18th March, we have instructed our office-based staff to work from home for the time being. Our remote workers will continue to operate from their home bases and are required to avoid face-to-face meetings, switching instead to video communication. Visitors to our premises are restricted to those making or collecting deliveries.

For the few employees who have a physical requirement to work from our offices, we will maintain separate work areas, minimise physical contact and follow the advised measures on hygiene and workplace cleanliness.

Our on-site teams will continue to provide installation services at client sites as long as Government guidance allows. Staff working on client sites will follow enhanced health and safety practice in line with updated Risk and Method Statements and any site-specific guidance issued by our clients.

Any employee who shows sign of COVID-19 symptoms will be instructed to self-isolate for the recommended period of 14 days.

All employees have been instructed on best practice to prevent infection and transmission, and of our social responsibility to do all that we can to prevent the spread of COIVD-19.

From 16th March 2020, Pure AV will restrict visitor access to our offices in Preston and Halifax.

Visitor access to our facilities, will only be permitted in the following circumstances:

- In exceptional cases where a face-to-face meeting is business critical, and the meeting cannot be held via video conferencing or UC platforms

- Any such meeting must be pre-arranged and approved by a member of the Pure AV Board.

Meeting approval will require the visitor to:

- Disclose recent travel history

- Confirm they have not displayed any cold or flu like symptoms within the last 14 days, or any of the symptoms of Covid-19 as defined by the W.H.O.

Any visitors who have travelled to, through or from mainland China, Italy, Iran or South Korea – or have knowingly been in direct contact with those who have – will not be permitted to enter Pure AV premises.

At present we have placed restrictions preventing staff travelling outside of the UK, as per government guidelines and advised restricted movement of our staff within the UK. Where possible meetings with customers, suppliers and vendors will be conducted remotely via Teams, Skype, Zoom and other UC platforms.

We have contingency plans for remote working and business continuity and do not expect disruption to communications or IT systems.

We are not currently experiencing delay in obtaining goods; however, we understand that production of audio visual hardware has been affected and anticipate extended timelines for products once stock held in the UK and Europe is depleted. We advise forward planning of procurement where possible to ensure continuity of supply for the summer period.

The situation with Coronavirus is evolving and we will continue to monitor developments, review our current response and act on any further UK Government advice as appropriate.
