Pure AV wins ‘Education Project of the Year’ Award

Education Project of the Year Award 2022 Winners

We are delighted to announce that Pure AV won the prestigious ‘Education Project of the Year’ category at the AV Awards 2022. Our team picked up the award for our work on the northern headquarters of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) at The Spine in Liverpool.

Held at Evolution London on Friday 4th November 2022, the highly respected annual award ceremony celebrates examples of the best audio visual projects from across the globe. The win represents a significant achievement in a fiercely competitive category that featured outstanding examples of AV projects from across Europe.

The Royal college of Physicians (RCP) is the oldest medical college in England and the award celebrates the audio visual solution behind its new northern headquarters at the iconic Spine building in Liverpool.

The expansive networked AV solution designed by technology consultants, Recursive, and implemented by Pure AV provides total flexibility for conferencing, events, medical assessment, and education.

The solution is designed to give RCP the freedom to send any content to anywhere, both within the building and beyond. It supports specialised assessment and examination spaces, innovative hybrid teaching spaces, dedicated lounge and workspaces and a world-class venue for conferencing and events.

The facilities offer medical trainees and professionals’ new opportunity to access varied forms of learning and development and enables the RCP to increase engagement with the medical community while reducing the time required away from clinical settings while studying.

Ben Pain, Head of AV Resources at Royal College of Physicians said of the project:

We have a building that offers a level of flexibility that I don’t think many other buildings offer. We are a membership organisation, we’re an educational organisation, we’re a training body, we’re a research space, we have small museum status and we’re a commercial venue. And we’re doing all that over seven floors. We needed AV that did more than one thing and did all the things that it did well. And we’ve got that.

Peter Sutton, Managing Directors at Pure AV, said of the win:

I am incredibly proud of the team behind the RCP project. To win this award is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved.

Now in its 24th year, the AV Awards recognise and reward excellence across the audio visual industry. The project awards are judged independently by senior representatives from end-user companies and key industry players.
