Museum of Science and Industry Testimonial
Revolution Manchester Gallery is such an iconic museum, it was a real thrill to be part of this project. Working in partnership with Kin Design, I am very proud of the solution that we have delivered.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester has been bringing innovation to life since 1969. In 2010 MOSI embarked on a £9 million redevelopment programme to improve the visitor experience.
At the heart of this redevelopment would be the Revolution Manchester Gallery which would become the entrance to the museum and introduction to the museum as a whole, giving an overview of the themes and galleries that can be found throughout MOSI.
Kin Design were commissioned to develop the design for the gallery and when they had their vision, including a 40m, 50-screen curved media wall (delivered by PSCo) MOSI approached Pure AV. They wanted an AV company who could put together a system that could deliver Kin’s content vision to the large video wall, touch screens and digital sculpture.
We were working to tight timescales in an exciting but challenging environment. We began first fix installation in December 2010 and completed all works by the end of January 2011. At the centre of the gallery is an 8-metre high digital sculpture. It features 190 LED tubes and 24 LCD screens; we worked alongside the sculpture designer to ensure the extensive cabling needed would be hidden once it was in place. This part of the install was done in sections, with our technology put in place after each section was completed.
Working to tight timescales in an exciting but challenging environment, Pure AV created a robust system that creatively presents the MOSI story to thousands of visitors each year
